Abstract
Ten poor grade aneurysm patients were treated with nimodipine within 72 hours after last bleeding. Of 8 operated patients, 5 cases showed good result, 2 cases moderately disabled, and one dead. Outcomes of 2 non-operated cases were one good, and moderately disabled in the other.
Transient delayed ischemic deficit developed in 4 cases, and permanent deficit in 2 cases. Nimodipine might be effective in poor grade aneurysm patients and have some role for reducing the frequency of permanent delayed ischemic deficits.
